What’s the plan? Here’s the plan! Strategic plan! Master plan! Backup plan! 10-year plan! Fail to plan, plan to fail! Our modern world is built on plans, and conventional wisdom tells us we’d be fools to try to do just about anything without them. But what gets lost when we become overly attached to our plans? What happens when life inserts itself with something unexpected? Do sacred messages come to us not only through beauty but also through barriers? As the old saying goes: Man plans, God laughs. The Golden Line offers a playful alternative to our modern obsession with planning. May it support you in your unfolding journey of life!

Plans are fineAnd please the mind

But held too firmlyAnd you’ll find

That plans can block out life’s surprise  — Dull the ears and dim the eyes

From sensing what’s in front of youSpeaking softly what to do

Signals from realityAlways fresh and ever new.

So take a stepThen pause and feel

What comes nextAnd then it’s real.

And as you goThe path, concealed

Within the flowAt last, revealed.

Not straight, but trueAnd so refined

The wisdom ofThe Golden Line
